the sleeves of spring

Middle of the week, ladies! Friday is near. 🙂

Despite the grayness and rain outside, I felt inspired to get up and write this morning!

There is no denying the trend of the statement sleeves this season – they are everywhere! I am sharing with you some of my favorites that I have seen online shopping and through other bloggers! All of these beautiful shirts pay great attention to detail in their sleeves and truly create a statement that can change any outfit. Which one is your favorite?

XO! Bets

life update + Holy week

You guys, it has been almost two weeks since I have posted anything for you! My apologies, I needed some time to step away from some of my “screen time” and I am glad I did. For anyone who ever considers taking a break from any kind of social media or screen, I encourage it. I am back feeling refreshed and am so excited about what I have coming up to share with you.

One exciting thing I did do while I was taking my break was create an Instagram account just for the blog! This gives me the chance to post a lot more and share more of my daily life and I am so excited! Toss the account a follow! Bold and Becoming Instagram

For us Christians, Holy Week is a beautiful time allowing us to deeply reflect and praise our Lord Jesus for dying for us sinners. There is no love that runs deeper than Jesus’.

For me specifically, Holy week has been a time for me to step back from school and assignments (we actually get an easter break, yippee!) and spend extra time going to Mass and praying. I feel at peace, at ease, and so thankful for this time. Its also so crazy how Lenten season and Easter are already here! Time flies when you’re not eating sweets I guess 😉 (I gave them up for lent)

I wanted to share with you some Bible verses and passages that I have read this week that have inspired me in prayer, and in life to pull myself closer to God. I hope they give you the same experience. Happy Easter, darlings!

He must become greater; I must become less. John 3 3o

Where you go, I’ll go. Where you stay, I’ll stay. Ruth 1 16

God promises to make something good out of the storms that bring devastation to your life. Romans 8 28

Where God guides, he provides. Isaiah 58 11

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. Psalm 52 5

Never let an earthly circumstance disable you spiritually.

But first, Pray.

Be as quick to kneel as we are to text.

Don’t be too busy to notice what God is doing around you.

When you fix your thoughts on God, God fixes your thoughts.

Seek things that are above.

Get on your knees and ask for the blessings of the Lord. Then, stand on your feet and do what you are asked to do.

faith friday {2}

It has been such a busy week for me so I am thankful it is finally the weekend and I have some time to just chill and relax.

It is in the busy weeks I think it is most important to make prayer, and God a priority. For me, the busy weeks bring extra stress into my life and this stress can often steer me away from my focus of God and prayer. “If the devil cannot make you bad he will make you busy.” Wow, how true is this? Really powerful words and they are SO true. Business if we don’t make an extra effort can separate us from God. It is in these busy times we must make an extra effort to be close with God. As I realize this more and more and my weeks keep getting busier with the end of my first year of college coming near, this is something I am really working on!

Here are my five favorite { faith related } posts from pinterest this week — here is the link to my board if you’re someone like me and can never get enough of this stuff.  Betsy Williams Pinterest – go to the “faith” board to see posts similar to what I share with you guys on these Friday posts!

This for me is reinforcement of how God’s plan for our life will always prevail over our own. Have faith in the plan the Lord has for you!!!

Screen Shot 2017-03-31 at 9.47.06 AM

So true. As humans we will never be able to comprehend the love our Lord has for us, but his love can comprehend us. We are the lucky ones.

A simple, and powerfully worded prayer! Apology and forgiveness are two hugely important parts of life and by asking for God’s strength in working on these things, he will guide us!

But really, nothing more to say, sooooooo true.

Super good question to ask yourself and reflect on how much time you really spend on your faith and in prayer.

faith Friday! {1}

Happy Friday you guys! I am so excited to launch this series on the blog every Friday – a weekly summary of my favorite faith filled anything.

When God says wait – 10 prayers while you wait — I feel it is in our seasons of “waiting” that God is truly testing us and making us stronger. These prayers include scripture and I love them! I believe prayer truly grounds us and especially helps in keeping faith strong when we need it the most.

You learn to pray by praying. — Prayer is something this year I have been trying to master and figure out. But I think I have realized that there doesn’t have to be strategy for your prayer. There is no right or wrong way to layout your thoughts, worries and blessings to God. If you are praying, God is listening.

I need God to consume me more than my life currently does. — This is something I have been focusing on lately and I think the words speak for themselves. This is a powerful statement and something I am working on!!

Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done. CS Lewis — This is oh so true and important for us Christians! This is why we pray, why we read devotionals, why we study the word and go to church. We must wake up every morning and recall again our trust and faith in God.

God exposes sin not to shame us but to change us. — Wow. This is a powerful and TRUE statement! God never wants to shame us, but he needs us to be aware of what sin does to the relationship between Christ and man. Sin is what separates us and strays us from God. God shows us this not to shame us but to change us, to bring us closer to him. Again, wow. God’s love for us is so beautiful!

Let me know if there is anything you would like to see coming up on these Friday Faith posts. Thanks for being here! Happy weekend. God bless you. BIMG_6848

Sleeveless fur for spring – OOTD

Halfway through the week lovelies! Unfortunately because I have been in total spring break relaxation mode this means that this last part of the week will be filled with me picking up my slack and getting tons of schoolwork and cleaning done. Ugh. I spent all day watching gossip girl (this is like my fifth time watching the show) and cuddling with my dogs so I didn’t even get dressed today until 3pm… thats what vacation is for though, right?

Here’s what I chose to throw on today… probably not quite warm enough to be going sleeveless but I am so eager for spring and higher temps that I couldn’t resist.

Thanks for being here! B
